During my tenure in ministry, I have experienced, expressed, and been exposed to various power dynamics in leadership styles. Some of those leadership styles have been supportive, some have been exploitative, and others have been abusive. Almost all of them operate under a few key operational assumptions, typically based on an ends-based model. People strive to arrive at a particular place, experiencing certain sensations from their environment and achieving desired results from their intentions and actions.

If I/We do this, then from those actions, I and others will experience these desired outcomes.
